Our programs are geared to sewing personal wear to your taste. Whether you use a sewing machine, serger or cover stitch machine, we have you covered! We've got answers to handling those nightmarish slinky, stretchy or fussy fabrics & trims.

We cover patterning, fitting & creative touches for casual wear, active wear, sleep wear, lingerie, shape wear and swim wear. The topic of every meeting is for Participants to share their tips, techniques and resource site finds.

April 18: All About Zippers -   Tips, techniques, creative uses.  We will learn how to insert a zipper pocket anywhere.  and how to add a recessed zipper to a finished bag.

We decided to work on the same project - outdoor jacket, indoor jacket, pants either trousers or knit types. casual or dressy tops, knits, wovens, upcycled, embellished,.....on and on.  We can use the same pattern or a similiar one of our choice.  Time frame for completion will be 3 to 4 months, and we can provide updates at each monthly meeting to discuss progress, problems, tips etc.  NO PRESSURE!

We also added a short segment to our monthly meetings.  This month i began by discussing a fiction piece that had a quilting story woven throughout.  It was called The Last Runaway by Tracy Chevalier. A wonderful non sewing related book is CUTTING FOR STONE by Abraham Verghese
.;
Next month please choose a sewing  podcast that  you enjoy to share..

Our sew and tell was inspiring, as usual.

Next month we will discuss all about Cover Stitch machines.  If you don't have one, there is an alternative, but after next month's meeting, you'll want one!  We will meet May 16 at 130 EST.

Happy Sewing!

Terry
