Special Interest Group: Lingerie and Active Wear

Lingerie and Active Wear is led by Terry Petti. Our programs are geared to people sewing personal wear and enhancing them with a personal touch. You will learn how to make active wear, sleepwear, lingerie (panties, slips, bras, camisoles, etc), shapewear and swimwear.  We have challenges, tutorials and general discussions for all who attend.

Whether you use a sewing machine, serger or cover stitch machine, we have you covered! Join us to learn a variety of techniques you can use with whatever machines you own. Get your questions answered about working with active wear fabrics, lingerie fabrics, elastics, laces, knits, powernet, "bits & bobs", satins, nylons, silks and other slinky, stretchy or fussy types of fabrics and trims.

Meetings are on the 4th Thursday of every other month over Zoom (Jan/Mar/May/Jul/Sep/Nov). For more information or to be added to the SIG Member email list please contact Terry.

Hello All,
Our next meeting will be on November 18th at 2:30.  Hope you are working on activewear or bralettes.  I just wanted to tell you that if you go on creative bug today through the weekend, you can watch Madalynne make the Barrett Bralette.  THe pattern is free on her website. madalynne intimates    www. madalynne.com   You can use anything you have at home, a stretch poly, a spandex,  and a tee shirt for the lining.  Elastics are easy to find and findings can be ordered once you are almost done.  It takes hardly any fabric!  Go ahead, watch video and make one.  The Bralette can be used as a bathing suit top or sports top too!  Its all about the fabric.  Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.   Terry
